Weightlifting sets varying weights & complexes

I find it nearly impossible to log my weightlifting sessions.  Rarely do I complete complexes all at the same weight, but right now the only option in the weightlifting style is heaviest or percentage based across the board.  It's a real pain to go in and log every separate movement in a "for time" format.

Suggestion:  Allow weightlifting complex option where you can group multiple movements into one "complex".  Then allow for varying weights in each set, with options of heaviest or percentage based for each set of the complex.

Right now I have custom made some of my complexes as a single movement but obviously they don't get picked up by FL's and it's really frustrating entering everything.

Yeah, I'm here because I programmed 2 complexes today at our gym and can't figure out out to enter it. The closest I got is in multiple movements, weightlifting sets. The problem with this is that it records your lift separate and not as a complex.

Hey BTWB, any updates on this request? I am seeing several threads where people are asking for the same thing.

Same here,

Trying to log weightlifting sets of singles. For example 9 single snatches @ 40kg,  7 single snatches @ 50kg and 5 single snatches @60kg.

Currently, if I log them as sets (varying reps & varying weight) I get new 9 rep max as the app assumes I've gone touch and go.

I completely agree with this!

In our gym the strength and skills part mostly consists of rounds of multiple movements with diferent weights each round.

This would greatly improve Usability and make a lot of work done Count to the FL!

Each exercise needs its own workout.

Alternatively, you can do Weightlifting sets, if you're doing circuits:

OK - that could help.  Could you give us some more detail on how to do this?  It doesn't seem to be an option in the "log workout" page on desktop or on the app.

Please allow for lifting complexes team.

I run an olympic lifting program at our gym and its next to impossible to log with your templates.

I have to currently choose single movement and pray that somebody has used the same complex before, this must create a very messy movement library for you with all the different complexes and numbers of reps associated with them.

Ive tried the weightlifting sets option but this is not the correct format for logging.

For example today i was trying to log back squat + front squat 3+3x3 and this is not currently in your single movement list.

Scott - Log workout -> multiple movements -> weightlifting sets. Right column, towards the bottom I believe. I too have the pain with complexes - so far it’s been OK, but not consistently. Some cycles I just can’t enter. But this is not an uncommon issue when trying to place structure around fairly unstructured data.

Best way I've found is to setup as an EMOM with multiple movements or a For Quality that is multiple rounds. Set it up to log the heaviest. They really need a better weightlifting template.

People have been asking for this for years, and it doesn't seem like it should be that unstructured to make complexes—have an option for a complex builder, where you can input the individual movements and reps.

All the newer features (macros, focus on fitness levels, yearly and lifetime rep counts) are cool, but the app is made dramatically less useful when I can't easily log a big portion of my training.

Has anyone had any response or an update on this request?

BTWB team?

I reached out to them. They responded. The problem is they only let admin accounts create new movements. To create a complex you need to create a new movement in btwb.
